1. Your clinician assesses your skin and the tattoo, and agrees the plan with you.
2. The area is cleansed and you are given protective eyewear.
3. The laser is passed over the area in short pulses. Most people feel warmth or a light snapping sensation.
4. A soothing product and sun protection are applied, and you receive aftercare advice.

The area may be red, swollen or tender, and can blister or scab for a few days. Keep it clean, do not pick it, and protect it from the sun while it heals.

Most people need a course of sessions, spaced several weeks apart. The number depends on the size, age and density of the tattoo, and your clinician agrees it with you before you start.

The listed price is a starting price. The final price depends on the size of the area and the number of sessions you need, and is confirmed at your visit.

Suitability is confirmed at your assessment. Laser treatment is not carried out during pregnancy, over broken or infected skin, or soon after sun exposure or a tan. Tell us about any medication, especially anything that makes your skin sensitive to light, and about any history of keloid scarring.

Tattoos fade gradually over the course. Some tattoos fade completely, while others leave a faint trace.
