What is it?

Dermal fillers are smooth gels, usually made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the skin. They restore volume lost with age, add shape and definition, and soften deeper folds, for a balanced, natural-looking result.

What does it treat?

  • Lip shape and volume
  • Flat or hollow cheeks
  • Under-eye hollows
  • Folds from the nose to the mouth
  • Jawline and chin definition

How does it work?

The filler is placed beneath the skin, where it adds volume and support. Hyaluronic acid also draws in water, which helps the area look smooth and hydrated.

What happens during treatment?

  1. Your clinician reviews your medical history and what you would like to change.
  2. Your face is assessed and the plan is agreed with you.
  3. The skin is cleansed and a numbing cream may be applied.
  4. The filler is injected and gently shaped.

Downtime and recovery

Some swelling, tenderness or bruising is common for a few days, especially in the lips. The final result shows once swelling has settled, usually within two weeks.

How many sessions?

Results usually last from six months to over a year, depending on the area and the filler used. The listed price is a starting price: the final price depends on the areas and amount of filler, and is confirmed at your visit.

Aftercare

  • Do not press or massage the treated areas unless your clinician advises it.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Avoid make-up on the area until the next day.

Who is it suitable for?

Fillers are for adults only, and an assessment confirms they are safe and suitable for you before treatment. They are not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where there is infection in the area. Tell us about any medical conditions, medication, allergies, previous fillers and history of cold sores.

Combination treatments

Often combined with Botox for expression lines, and with skin treatments such as Microneedling or Mesotherapy.
