Carbon laser treatment, also known as a carbon peel, starts with a thin layer of carbon applied to the skin, where it settles into the pores. A Q-switch laser then lifts the carbon away in short, powerful pulses, taking oil and impurities with it and gently warming the skin. Skin is left cleaner, brighter and smoother.
Most people have little or no downtime, with mild redness for a short time afterwards.
Most people need a course of sessions, spaced several weeks apart. The number depends on your skin and what you want to improve, and your clinician agrees it with you before you start.
The listed price is a starting price. The final price depends on the size of the area and the number of sessions you need, and is confirmed at your visit.
Suitability is confirmed at your assessment. Laser treatment is not carried out during pregnancy, over broken or infected skin, or soon after sun exposure or a tan. Tell us about any medication, especially anything that makes your skin sensitive to light, and about any history of keloid scarring.
