Small amounts are injected into chosen muscles, which then relax for a few months. The skin above them creases less, so lines soften.

1. Your clinician reviews your medical history and what you would like to change.
2. Your face is assessed at rest and while you make expressions, and the plan is agreed with you.
3. The skin is cleansed.
4. A few small injections are given with a very fine needle.

Small bumps or redness at the injection points usually settle within an hour. The effect starts after a few days and builds over about two weeks.

Results usually last three to four months, after which treatment can be repeated. The listed price is a starting price: the final price depends on the areas treated, and is confirmed at your visit.

• Stay upright for four hours after treatment.
• Do not rub or massage the treated areas that day.
• Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours.

Botox is for adults only, and an assessment confirms it is safe and suitable for you before treatment. It is not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is infection in the area, or to people with some neuromuscular conditions, such as myasthenia gravis. Tell us about any medical conditions, medication, allergies and previous cosmetic treatments.
