Acne Scar Removal (PIH) Treatment

1. Your clinician assesses your skin and the marks, and agrees the plan with you.
2. The area is cleansed and you are given protective eyewear.
3. The laser is passed over the area in short pulses. Most people feel warmth or a light snapping sensation.
4. A soothing product and sun protection are applied, and you receive aftercare advice.

There may be some redness, warmth or mild swelling for a few hours to a few days. Treated pigment can darken briefly before it fades. Protect the area from the sun throughout your course.

Most people need a course of sessions, spaced several weeks apart. The number depends on how many marks you have and how dark they are, and your clinician agrees it with you before you start.

The listed price is a starting price. The final price depends on the size of the area and the number of sessions you need, and is confirmed at your visit.

Suitability is confirmed at your assessment. Laser treatment is not carried out during pregnancy, over broken or infected skin, or soon after sun exposure or a tan. Tell us about any medication, especially anything that makes your skin sensitive to light, and about any history of keloid scarring.

Active breakouts are treated first, so new marks do not form during your course.
